Young Composers Challenge

Finalist Concert

The dramatic conclusion to the 2010 Young Composers Challenge will occur Sunday, October 10, 2010 as the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra performs the six winning compositions in a exciting free public concert at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.

The performance session for each composition will begin with the audience hearing the young composer's computer-generated MIDI score. Then the composition will be briefly rehearsed, giving the composer an opportunity to interact with conductor Chris Wilkins, the orchestra musicians, and the judges. Each session ends with the final recorded performance of the composition.
